CIGNA CORP
The Cigna Group is a Delaware corporation, Delaware Division of Corporations file number 6784873 (as recorded by GLEIF, LEI 549300VIWYMSIGT1U456), incorporated on 6 March 2018. It was formed as Halfmoon Parent, Inc., took the name Cigna Corporation on 20 December 2018, and renamed itself The Cigna Group with effect from 13 February 2023. Its shares trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker CI. The page title “CIGNA CORP” is this company’s former name. The Cigna Group is a health services and health benefits company: it administers pharmacy benefits, runs specialty and home-delivery pharmacy and care services, and provides medical, dental, behavioural health and related coverage to employers, individuals and other clients.
The company card’s record comes from the Connecticut business register. There, The Cigna Group is account 1382469. It is registered as a foreign stock corporation formed in Delaware, with a Certificate of Authority dated 15 March 2021, and its status on 30 September 2026 was Active. Its principal office is 900 Cottage Grove Road, Bloomfield, CT 06002. That Connecticut filing is a registration to do business in the state. It is not the company’s incorporation. Connecticut changed the name on the record from CIGNA CORPORATION to The Cigna Group, Inc. on 23 March 2023. A separate legal entity, incorporated in Delaware in 1981 and registered in Connecticut as account 0131036, also used the name CIGNA Corporation until 31 December 2018, when it became Cigna Holding Company. That entity’s history, dates and records are not this company’s. The 10-K says The Cigna Group was incorporated in Delaware in 1981 “through its predecessor companies”. That date belongs to the predecessor, not to this legal entity.
The Cigna Group reports two segments. Evernorth Health Services covers pharmacy benefit services, which operate under the Express Scripts brand, and specialty and care services. Cigna Healthcare covers U.S. employer, individual and international health benefits. For the fiscal year ended 31 December 2025, the company reported consolidated total revenues of $274.9 billion (2024: $247.1 billion). Consolidated shareholders’ net income was $5,957 million (2024: $3,434 million). The 10-K gives a workforce of about 67,700 and more than 185 million customer relationships in more than 30 markets and jurisdictions as at 31 December 2025.
On 19 March 2025 the company completed the sale of its Medicare Advantage, Medicare stand-alone prescription drug plan, Medicare supplemental and CareAllies businesses to Health Care Service Corporation, for total cash proceeds of $4.9 billion. For the second quarter of 2026 it reported total revenues of $71.7 billion.

- The Vanguard Group: 26,445,689 shares, 10.0%, as at 27 February 2026 (Schedule 13G/A filed 5 March 2026).

Vanguard has since changed which of its entities reports the holding. On 26 March 2026 The Vanguard Group filed a Schedule 13G/A reporting 0 shares (0%) as at 13 March 2026. It cited its internal realignment of 12 January 2026, under which some affiliates now report their holdings separately. Vanguard Capital Management LLC then filed a Schedule 13G on 29 April 2026 reporting 19,814,433 shares (7.51%) as at 31 March 2026. This change is in the reporting entity. It is not a sale. FMR LLC reported 4.0% as at 30 September 2025 (Schedule 13G/A filed 5 November 2025), which is below the 5% threshold. Data availability
Major shareholders only. U.S. listed companies disclose holdings above 5% through SEC Schedules 13D/13G and the annual proxy statement. The full register of holders is not public. No natural person is disclosed as holding 25% or more. The reportable holders are asset managers holding for their clients, so no individual ultimate beneficial owner can be named. The holdings above are dated as at different dates and should not be added together. The Schedule 13G searches used EDGAR full-text search with both the current form names (SCHEDULE 13G, SCHEDULE 13G/A) and BlackRock’s current CIK, 0002012383. As a positive control, the search returned the Vanguard, Vanguard Capital Management, FMR and BlackRock filings on this issuer. No BlackRock filing on the company dated after 24 April 2025 was found.
