LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton is a French Société Européenne (SE) registered in the Paris Trade and Companies Register under SIREN 775 670 417, the registered-office establishment carrying SIRET 775 670 417 00051 at 22 avenue Montaigne, 75008 Paris. Its registry status is active and its principal activity code (APE) is 7010Z, activities of head offices. Article 1 of the Bylaws records the conversion of the company from a société anonyme into a Société Européenne on 27 October 2014, and Article 5 states that it was incorporated on 1 January 1923, its term having been extended to 31 December 2115. Its Legal Entity Identifier is IOG4E947OATN0KJYSD45.

LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton is the holding company of the LVMH luxury goods group. Its corporate purpose, under Article 2 of the Bylaws, is the acquisition of interests in companies engaged in champagne, wine and spirits, in perfumes and cosmetics, in leather goods, clothing and other branded articles, in the operation of vineyards, and in the use of intellectual property rights. In practice the company manages and coordinates the operating activities of its subsidiaries and supplies them with legal, financial, tax, ethics, insurance, information-systems and digital services, which are invoiced back: in 2025 it billed 285.95 million euros of management-assistance fees.

Group activity is reported in five business segments — Wines and Spirits, Fashion and Leather Goods, Perfumes and Cosmetics, Watches and Jewelry, and Selective Retailing — alongside other activities covering hospitality, media, yachts and real estate. Brands reported under those segments include Moët & Chandon, Dom Pérignon and Hennessy; Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior Couture, Celine and Fendi; Parfums Christian Dior and Guerlain; Bulgari, Tiffany and TAG Heuer; and Sephora. Distribution is largely through directly operated stores, of which there were 6,097 worldwide at 31 December 2025.

The company is listed on Euronext Paris (ISIN FR0000121014, ticker MC) and is a constituent of the CAC 40. For the year ended 31 December 2025 the group reported consolidated revenue of 80,807 million euros, down 5% as published and 1% organically, profit from recurring operations of 17,755 million euros and net profit, Group share, of 10,878 million euros. Total consolidated workforce was 213,932 at 31 December 2025, against 218,150 a year earlier. Those are consolidated group figures. At parent-company level, under French accounting rules, LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE reported 784.9 million euros of operating income for 2025, an operating loss of 465.4 million euros and net profit of 8,984.3 million euros, the latter driven by 10,453.9 million euros of income from equity investments.

For the six months ended 30 June 2026 the group reported consolidated revenue of 38.6 billion euros, profit from recurring operations of 8.7 billion euros, an operating margin of 22.5% and net profit, Group share, of 5.7 billion euros.

Shareholders

Shareholders of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton

LVMH is a listed issuer, so published ownership data covers holdings above regulatory disclosure thresholds rather than the whole shareholder base. Two different percentages have to be read together: the Bylaws grant a double voting right to fully paid-up registered shares registered in the same holder’s name for at least three years, so the controlling group’s share of capital and its share of voting rights are materially different figures.

As of 31 December 2025 the share capital was 149,306,082 euros, divided into 497,686,940 shares of 0.30 euro par value, of which 247,156,822 carried double voting rights; 496,391,012 shares carried voting rights and 743,547,834 voting rights were exercisable at Shareholders’ Meetings. The 2025 Universal Registration Document reports the following breakdown at that date.

Shareholder Shares Voting rights exercisable % of capital % of voting rights
Arnault family group 247,694,473 489,899,517 49.77 65.89
  of which Christian Dior SE 209,883,810 418,353,652 42.17 56.26
  of which Arnault family and other family-controlled companies 37,810,663 — 7.60 9.63
Other shareholders (including 1,295,928 treasury shares) 249,992,467 253,648,317 50.23 34.11
Total 497,686,940 743,547,834 100.00 100.00

The company states that, apart from the concert described above, no shareholder held 5% or more of its capital or voting rights at 31 December 2025, directly, indirectly or in concert, and that it was aware of no shareholders’ agreement involving at least 0.5% of capital or voting rights. On the basis of registered holders and the December 2025 Euroclear survey of depository banks, the company counted about 900,000 shareholders. During 2025 Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations notified crossings of the 1% bylaw threshold; at the last crossing, on 16 April 2025, it held 1% of capital and 0.67% of voting rights directly, and the CDC group 1.24% of capital and 0.83% of voting rights indirectly.

On 25 February 2026 the AMF published declaration 226C0219: by letter received on 24 February 2026 the Arnault family group declared that, acting in concert, it had crossed the 50% capital threshold on 19 February 2026 and held 248,874,567 LVMH shares carrying 491,218,121 voting rights, being 50.01% of the capital and 65.94% of the voting rights, on a basis of 497,686,940 shares and 744,894,195 voting rights. The declared split was Christian Dior 42.21% of capital and 56.21% of voting rights, Financière Agache 6.73% and 8.35%, the Arnault family directly 0.57% and 0.71%, and Agache 0.50% and 0.67%. The crossing resulted from purchases of LVMH shares on the market.

More recently, the press release issued by Christian Dior SE on 23 September 2026 states that the Arnault family group’s stake in LVMH amounts to 50.33% of the share capital and 66.27% of the voting rights as of that date. For scale, LVMH’s monthly statement under Article L. 233-8 II of the French Commercial Code reports 495,811,080 shares outstanding at 30 June 2026, carrying 743,973,347 gross and 741,261,494 net voting rights.

Ultimate beneficial ownership

The chain of control is documented in LVMH’s own Universal Registration Document and in the AMF declaration. Christian Dior SE (SIREN 582 110 987, Paris) is the largest single holder of LVMH shares. Above it sits Financière Agache SA (SIREN 775 625 767, Paris), which held 96.00% of Christian Dior’s share capital and 97.10% of its voting rights as of 23 September 2026, and above that Agache SCA (SIREN 314 685 454, Paris), a société en commandite par actions which owns 100% of Financière Agache and whose general partners are Bernard Arnault and Agache Commandité SAS (SIREN 921 583 266), with Bernard Arnault as managing general partner (gérant commandité).

Using the simplified ownership chart published in the 2025 Universal Registration Document, which states both links at the same date of 31 December 2025 — Agache SCA holding 97.50% of Christian Dior SE’s capital and 98.63% of its voting rights, and Christian Dior SE holding 42.17% of LVMH’s capital and 56.26% of its voting rights — Agache SCA’s calculated effective interest in LVMH through Christian Dior SE is 41.12% of the share capital and 55.49% of the voting rights. That is a calculated effective ownership percentage, not a reported one, and it excludes the shares held directly by the Arnault family and by other family-controlled companies.

Bernard Arnault is therefore the natural person at the head of the control chain, by virtue of his position as general and managing partner of Agache SCA. No effective percentage can be calculated for him or for any other individual family member, because the breakdown of Agache SCA’s own capital among members of the Arnault family is not publicly disclosed. What is disclosed, and what is relevant to the 25% French beneficial-ownership threshold, is that the concert as a whole held 50.33% of LVMH’s capital and 66.27% of its voting rights at 23 September 2026.

Data availability

Major shareholders only. For a French listed issuer, ownership disclosure comes from AMF threshold declarations and from the annual Universal Registration Document rather than from a filed share register, so holdings below the statutory and bylaw thresholds are not published and the roughly 900,000 individual shareholders are not identified. The provider record behind this page holds no shareholder rows at all for LVMH — the gd_shareholders field contains only a generic note about French filings with the Greffe du Tribunal de Commerce and the Registre des Bénéficiaires Effectifs — so every figure above was taken from the primary filings listed below. The absence of provider data is not evidence that the company has no shareholders or no beneficial owner.

Directors and officers of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton

The Board of Directors (Conseil d’administration) had sixteen members at 31 December 2025, appointed for three-year terms under the Bylaws. The roles are kept here as the company’s filings record them: one Président-Directeur Général (Chairman and Chief Executive Officer), Bernard Arnault, who has held the combined role since 1989 and whom the Board reappointed on 17 April 2025 after deciding not to separate the two functions; thirteen administrateurs (Directors), one of whom, Henri de Castries, serves as administrateur référent (Lead Director); and two administrateurs représentant les salariés (Directors representing the employees), Dominique Aumont and Marie-Véronique Belloeil-Melkin. No Directeur Général Délégué is in office. Alongside the Board sit two censeurs (Advisory Board members), Diego Della Valle and Lord Powell of Bayswater, who attend Board meetings and are consulted but do not vote.

Executive management outside the Board is exercised through the Executive Committee, chaired since 18 April 2024 by Stéphane Bianchi as Group Managing Director, appointed to that role by the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. He is not a member of the Board of Directors.

Nationality is taken solely from the nationality field of the company’s 2025 Universal Registration Document, which records it for every Director: fourteen of the sixteen Directors in office at 31 December 2025 were French and two were American (Wei Sun Christianson and Marie-Josée Kravis). The same table gives each Director’s date of first appointment, ranging from 26 September 1988 for Bernard Arnault to 18 April 2024 for the most recent appointees, and the year in which each term expires. Country of residence is not published for any Director, and no correspondence address is given for individuals.

Recent officer changes

  • Appointment — Ariane Gorin, administrateur (Director). Proposed by the Board on 27 January 2026 and appointed by the Combined Shareholders’ Meeting of 23 April 2026; resolution 10 was adopted with 641,879,102 votes in favour, 99.88% of votes cast.
  • End of term — Marie-Laure Sauty de Chalon, administrateur, and Marie-Véronique Belloeil-Melkin, administrateur représentant les salariés. Both terms ran until the close of the Shareholders’ Meeting of 23 April 2026 and were not renewed.
  • Appointment — Lydia Zune, administrateur représentant les salariés. Designated by the SE Works Council on 10 December 2025, with effect from the close of the Shareholders’ Meeting of 23 April 2026; this appointment is made by the works council and is not voted on by shareholders.

At the same meeting the terms of office of Delphine Arnault, Wei Sun Christianson, Marie-Josée Kravis, Laurent Mignon and Natacha Valla as Directors were renewed, and the terms of the two Advisory Board members were renewed for three years; all of these resolutions were adopted.

Data availability

Full for current officers, but sourced from the issuer’s own regulatory filings rather than from a registry feed. The provider record behind this page contains no officer data at all: the gd_officers field holds an API quota error rather than a result set. That is an empty field, not a statement that the company has no directors or legal representatives, and every name, role and date above was taken from the documents cited below. The French register does not publish nationality or country of residence for corporate officers, so the nationalities given here come from the Universal Registration Document’s own nationality column; dates of birth are not reproduced. Historical appointments earlier than the dates of first appointment listed in that document were not retrieved.

Group Structure

Group structure of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton

LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE is not an independent company: it is the listed parent of the LVMH group and is itself controlled from above. Its immediate parent by size of holding is Christian Dior SE, and the highest identifiable corporate entity in the chain is Agache SCA, a French société en commandite par actions which owns Financière Agache SA, which in turn holds the controlling interest in Christian Dior SE. Downwards, the 2025 consolidated financial statements list several hundred consolidated entities across the five business groups, with ownership interests stated for each. The main jurisdictions represented are France, Italy, the United States, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Hong Kong, mainland China, Singapore and Japan. The structural information below is stated as of 31 December 2025 for subsidiaries, and as of the dates shown for the upward chain; it is complete at the level of consolidated entities but the filings do not say, entity by entity, whether a holding is direct or held through an intermediate company.

Recent structural changes

  • 31 July 2025 — Loro Piana. LVMH raised its interest in Loro Piana to 94% by acquiring a 9% stake from minority shareholders for 1.0 billion euros. The 2025 consolidated financial statements record this as the only significant change in ownership interests in consolidated companies during the year.
  • January 2026 — DFS. LVMH finalised the sale of a significant portion of the DFS travel-retail businesses as part of its plan to divest from DFS. The related assets and liabilities, a net 1.2 billion euros, were reclassified as held for sale in the consolidated balance sheet at 31 December 2025, including a trade name carried at 1.5 billion euros, and an estimated loss of 0.5 billion euros was recognised.
  • 23 September 2026 — announced reorganisation of the control chain (not completed). Christian Dior SE announced that the Arnault family group is contemplating the merger of Financière Agache into Agache, followed by the merger of Agache into Christian Dior and the simultaneous conversion of Christian Dior into a société en commandite par actions to be renamed Agache SCA. The merger and conversion would be put to extraordinary general meetings of both companies in December 2026 and are subject to waivers to be sought from the AMF; a cash tender offer for the Christian Dior shares not held by the family group, representing 2.44% of that company’s capital, would follow in the first quarter of 2027, without a squeeze-out. None of this has been completed, and LVMH’s own legal form and registration are unaffected by the proposal.

Data availability

Full. LVMH publishes the complete list of consolidated companies with the group ownership interest for each, and the upward control chain is documented in AMF threshold declarations and in the issuer’s own filings; percentages are stated as share capital and, for the listed entities in the chain, separately as voting rights. Two caveats apply to the structured data behind this page: the stored gd_groups tree contains 1,152 nodes rooted on LVMH itself and therefore shows subsidiaries only — it contains no parent above LVMH — and several of its entity names carry \uNNNN escape artifacts (for example “LVMH Mou00ebt Hennessy Louis Vuitton B.V.” and “LORO PIANA ESPAu00d1A SL”) that should read “Moët” and “ESPAÑA”. Registration numbers in that tree were not used unless independently confirmed against an official register.
