Perkins Limited (00265987) elsewhere in the group when the accounts record it as a 2.4% investment held by this company – a holding of that size is not a subsidiary relationship. Third, the identifier it stores for Perkins India Private Limited, AAGCP3353A, is an Indian Permanent Account Number, not a corporate identity number, so it will not resolve against the Indian company register.

A separate point about the same record: the website field holds neovialogistics.com, which is not a Perkins domain and never was. It is operated by Neovia Logistics Services, LLC of Dallas, Texas; RDAP shows the domain first registered on 4 July 2012. The business was Caterpillar Logistics Services until Platinum Equity acquired a majority interest in July 2012, with Caterpillar Inc. retaining a 35% stake, and was renamed Neovia on 1 November 2012; Platinum Equity announced on 3 March 2015 the completion of its sale to an affiliate of Goldman Sachs and funds affiliated with Rhône Capital L.L.C., stating that Caterpillar had exited its position as well. Neovia Logistics Services, LLC is therefore a former Caterpillar group business, disposed of in stages between 2012 and 2015. It has never been disclosed as a subsidiary, parent or sister company of Perkins Engines Company Limited in any filing reviewed here, and the presence of its domain on this record is a data error rather than evidence of a corporate link.
